Similar spaces to Spirit Halloween's other locations include the 22,000-square-foot space that formerly housed Bed Bath and Beyond and Big Lots near State 23. The Bed Bath and Beyond is set to be a Burlington store this fall and Big Lots still occupies the building, with an uncertain closing date.

Spirit Halloween says its opening more store this year than ever before — 1,525. All of the stores are expected to open by the end of September. More than 1,100 stores have already opened.

Spirit Halloween is returning to Wisconsin Rapids, this season it will open at a new location. A sign on the door of the building announces the store will open Sept. 14 at 2111 Eighth St. S., near Dunkin’ and Noodles & Co. The building is the former Furniture Plus and County Market space.
