Bryson DeChambeau ranked 32nd among all players at The Open Championship at Royal Portrush Golf Club in Antrim, Northern Ireland as of Saturday morning, giving himself a chance to make a late run toward the top of the leaderboard.
The two-time U.S. Open champion opened with a 78 at Royal Portrush but was 16 under the final three rounds, likely sealing a spot on the U.S. Ryder Cup team.
"I played with him a lot in college, and he was not that good, so he's figured out a lot of stuff since then," Bryson DeChambeau joked about Claret Jug-winner Scottie Scheffler.
