Two Vidor police officers saved two children from a burning home just before flames engulfed their bedroom. It happened shortly before 2:00 Tuesday morning on Pin Oak Street in southwest

Officers ripped out a window air conditioning unit and pulled the children to safety just moments before flames filled their bedroom.

The house fire was first reported just before 2 a.m. Tuesday in the 900 block of Pin Oak Street. Dispatchers were told that the children may have been trapped inside, according to a news release from the Vidor Police Department.
