Donald Trump has sued Rupert Murdoch's News Corp over a Wall Street Journal report detailing a 2003 birthday letter allegedly written by Trump to Jeffrey Epstein. The letter, found in a birthday album organized by Ghislaine Maxwell,
"The Wall Street Journal, and Rupert Murdoch, personally, were warned directly by President Donald J. Trump that the supposed letter they printed by President Trump to Epstein was a FAKE and, if they print it, they will be sued," Trump's post reads in part.
Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office, Trump called the continued fixation on Epstein and his possible connections to powerful politicians a “witch hunt.” Trump also told reporters that he was not up to speed on the Department of Justice’s plans to meet with Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell.
The government’s handling of the investigation into Jeffrey Epstein has roiled the president’s closed supporters for weeks.
A New York Times report highlighting the story of an Jeffrey Epstein accuser may suggest how Trump might appear in the Epstein files. In the report, an Epstein accuser recounts an interaction she overheard between Donald Trump and Jeffery Epstein in 1995.
