Make.Shift traces its origins to 2008, when a group of young Bellingham musicians and music fans acquired a biodiesel van that local musicians could use for free if they didn’t have a touring van.

The Animal Rescue Mission is working to rescue dogs being kept in squalor at make-shift shelters in Mexico. Volunteers are also helping improve conditions at the shelters.

Since January, the intersection of Petersburg and Boonville-New Harmony Road has been under construction, and has been a thorn in the side of local businesses.

Their property, though, has made headlines for a good while now. The Tiffanys have allowed their property to serve as a make-shift relief center for people who do not have anywhere to live.
