For most of the offseason, Buffalo Bills running back James Cook has told everyone in earshot that he was worth more than the organization was currently paying
Last season with the Bills, Cook was a huge part of the elite offense the team put together. He carried the football 207 times in 16 games for 1,009 yards and 16 touchdowns, averaging 4.9 yards per carry. He also caught 32 passes for 258 yards and two scores.
Cook delivered a strong message to the Bills about his desire for a new contract at training camp on Thursday.
Now, as Buffalo gets ready to be on the field, head coach Sean McDermott told reporters on Wednesday morning that he anticipates Cook will practice. “He’s ready to go ,” McDermott said, via Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.
