Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Atishi was sworn in as the new Chief Minister of Delhi on Saturday, succeeding Arvind Kejriwal, who resigned earlier in the week.

Along with Atishi, five cabinet ministers -- four from the previous ministry and a new face -- were also sworn in during the ceremony. Atishi’s new council of ministers includes Gopal Rai, Kailash Gahlot, Saurabh Bharadwaj, Imran Hussain, and new entrant Mukesh Ahlawat, a first-time MLA from Sultanpur Majra.

Delhi is set to welcome Atishi as its new Chief Minister following Arvind Kejriwal's prohibition from office due to the alleged liquor scam. Atishi, a senior AAP leader, will be the third woman to hold this position in Delhi.

Atishi has been sworn in as the Chief Minister of Delhi, becoming India’s 17th female CM. She takes charge alongside a new council of ministers, marking AAP’s fourth consecutive term in the national capital.

AAP leader Atishi took oath on Saturday as Delhi's third woman chief minister and became the youngest of all three to hold the top office in the national capital. She also became the 17th woman to hold the post of chief minister in independent India.

Atishi arrived at AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal's residence ahead of her oath-taking ceremony as Delhi's new Chief Minister. She expressed mixed feelings about the leadership change but pledged to continue AAP's mission.

The new Council of Ministers announced by AAP comprises Sultanpur Majra MLA Mukesh Ahlawat, a new entrant, besides ministers Gopal Rai, Kailash Gahlot, Saurabh Bharadwaj and Imran Hussain.
