Oregon elections officials say they struck over 1,200 people from the state's voter rolls after determining they did not provide proof of citizenship when they were registered to vote.

Oregon erroneously added more than 1,200 people without documented proof of citizenship to its voter rolls in the past few years and nine of those people voted, state officials announced Monday. Those numbers,

On Monday, the Oregon Driver and Motor Vehicle Services Division and the Oregon Secretary of State updated the number of noncitizens erroneously registered to vote in the state to 1,259. The error was first reported earlier this month with the state announcing at least 306 people had been registered to state voter rolls over the last three years.
