The Major League Baseball trade deadline is July 31, which means we're eight days away and the ticking of the clock is starting to become audible. We've seen very little movement thus far, but there's still some sorting out to be done in the standings and we've got over a week.

With the Phillies sure to be buyers at this year's trade deadline, one trade that they could make at the deadline would be sure to juice up their already stellar outfield. According to ESPN's Jeff Passan and Kiley McDaniel,

Ideally, Robertson could help the Phillies in the later innings in August and September, then slot in the middle of the 'pen come October.

Robertson was optioned to Triple-A Lehigh Valley, where he'll likely make a few appearances before being called up. The Phillies will pay Robertson about $5.5 million on a pro-rated $16 million contract,

Phillies president of baseball operations Dave Dombrowski made the move Monday, optioning the 40-year-old reliever to Triple-A Lehigh Valley.
