NEW YORK] Meta Platforms has appointed Zhao Shengjia, co-creator of ChatGPT, as chief scientist of its Superintelligence Lab, CEO Mark Zuckerberg said on Friday (Jul 25), as the company accelerates its push into advanced artificial intelligence (AI).

Shenjia Zhao, co-creator of ChatGPT, has been named chief scientist of Meta's new Superintelligence Labs by CEO Mark Zuckerberg. Zhao will direct research efforts and aims to strengthen Meta's AI capabilities following the lukewarm reception of its Llama model releases.
