As Cook enters his fourth NFL season, the final year of his rookie deal, he is eligible for a new contract. He is set to make $5.271 million as a base salary in 2025. He previously hinted on social media that he seeks a deal worth $15 million per year.
"James Cook’s breakout 2024 season positions him as a strong franchise tag candidate for the Buffalo Bills in 2026. The former second-round pick delivered 1,009 rushing yards on 207 carries, averaging 4.9 yards per attempt and leading the league with 16 rushing touchdowns, per Pro Football Reference," Austin wrote.
Allen, along with Cook, Shakir, Keon Coleman, Joshua Palmer, Curtis Samuel, Dalton Kincaid, and Dawson Knox, is a good group of weapons and are ones that should put the Bills right at the top of the Super Bowl conversation.
