New Kansas license plates are now available | 101.3 KFDI

The design was chosen by Kansans in a public vote in December, 2023, winning 53 percent of the total vote. The “To the Stars” design will replace the current “Ad Astra” standard license plate designs.
Former CEO sentenced to prison for Kansas bank failure

A sentencing hearing was held Monday in federal court for 53-year-old Shan Hanes of Elkhart. He had pleaded guilty to one count of embezzlement by a bank officer.

Another round of severe weather moved through central and south central Kansas late Wednesday night and brought wind gusts up to 80 miles an hour, leaving damage and power outages across the region. The 80 mile-an-hour gusts were reported in McPherson County, where damage was reported to buildings, trees and power lines.
