Is it okay to mix protein powder into my oatmeal?
网页2006年11月18日 · Hello, Just wondering if boiling hot water "destroys" protein powder (does it destroy the nutitional protein content?) If not, I was thinking of mixing it into my oatmeal just to give it a chocolate taste. I got the idea from the muscle milk oatmeal pre-prepared bowls where you just add boilding water.

网页2012年1月6日 · I, too, don't care for oatmeal and protein powder mixed together. Rather just make the shake w/water, then, eat the oatmeal separate. Maybe it's an acquired taste, to mix the two. I much prefer, if I have the time to make it, whole wheat pancakes, with a scoop of vanilla protein powder added to the mix. Changes the texture slightly, but it's good.

Do I sprinkle the powder on top of the oats before putting them in the microwave? Or do I cook the oatmeal in the microwave, then stir in the powder afterwards? Never done it, so just looking for some suggestions. Thanks!

网页2010年6月15日 · Protein will denature if you put it with hot water. what i did was cook the oatmeal,then pour cold milk into the oatmeal and then mixing your protein. Or you could use ice,2 to 3 cubes and the oatmeal would be warm,which is fine since our body temp is around 37 anyway. whatever suits you (:

网页2012年2月17日 · Rep Power: 18056. I've thrown uncooked oatmeal into some greek yogurt before. Not too bad. Its an easier way to eat both in a quick manner. As for oatmeal alone, I usually throw 1/2 - 1c dry, uncooked oats in a bowl with some type of fruit; banana, blueberries, etc. Add some milk and eat like cold cereal.

网页2007年1月12日 · I try to add 1/2 scoop of Whey Protein Powder to my Oatmeal...AFTER I cook it in the microwave for a couple mins. Then I add the powder..I stir it up pretty good...I have yet to make this taste halfway decent. Anyone else have any recommendations on how to make this taste good? And yes, I have tried MM & Oats and also think that tastes gross.
