网页2012年2月14日 — A case can provide a sort of "wind tunnel" effect where air is intentionally directed to flow in a specific way to keep your components cooler. Without that wind-tunnel effect, such as without a case at all or a poorly-designed case, you could potentially get higher temperatures than if you had used the case with nice airflow.

My question is the case has small mounds of 0.5cm to mount motherboard. I even got standoff brass and plastics ones but I think if I mount using stand offs the I/O sockets on mobo won't match with the case.

网页2008年8月18日 — I dont think you would need a fan for this design as the surface area of the case would be sufficently large to cool via nautural convection. You would probaly need to use external optical drives or solid state hard drives for this. as they may be effected by the oil. A little creativity will be needed when making the case.

网页2012年9月20日 — I'm not sure that using a jumper to sustain a connection on the PWR pins is a good idea, the case 'power up' button is a momentary (it just pulses the connection), its not a continuous connection after the button is pressed. Using something like the tip of a screwdriver or a key to momentarily short out the PWR pins is the way to go.
